The CitationJet is the foundation for Cessna’s CJ series, which includes several models and variants up to the current Citation CJ4+. Model 525 serial numbers ranging from 1 through 359 are known as CitationJets, while numbers 360 through 599 are known as the CitationJet CJ1. The CJ1 is an improved variant of the CitationJet, with modernized EFIS avionics and a small increase to the aircraft’s maximum takeoff weight. The CJ2,CJ3, and CJ4 are new and improved variants of the proven 525 platform.
